The Google Doodle is an
artistic version of the
Google logo .Google
Doodles represent events
like holidays,
anniversaries, or current
events.
The Google Doodle are those cool logos you see on the Google search page.These logos are often animated and interactive. The logos often coincide with major holidays or world events.Originally designed by Googlers the general public can now submit designs for the Google Doodle.
Some of the
doodles were limited to
Google's country specific
home pages while others
appeared globally.
Google had posted about
260 doodles in the year
2011. In 2012, Google
continued its trend to
doodle on the occasion
of New Year . The New
Year doodle, infact was
a continuation of the
Google Doodle featured
on December 31, 2011.
The Birth Of The Google Doodle
The first Google Doodle was made in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Lary Page for the "Burning Man Festival." They wanted to alert Google users of their absence in the event of a server crash at Google.From that point the Designs were made by designers not employed by Google until 2000. In 2000 an intern at Google was asked by Larry and Sergey to do the Google Doodle. Dennis Hwang was the intern they asked to do the Doodles. He has been doing the Google Doodle ever since with other Googlers.

2011 Doodle 4 Google Contest
In 2011 Google launched the Doodle 4 Google contest. A competition where kids from the United States grades K-12 were able to enter their Doodle designs.Matteo Lopez received a 15,000 scholarship and a 25,000 grant for his school for his design.
His design will appear on the Google search for the world to see.
