The Birth Of The Google Doodle
The first Google Doodle was made in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Lary Page for the "Burning Man Festival." They wanted to alert Google users of their absence in the event of a server crash at Google.
From that point the Designs were made by designers not employed by Google until 2000. In 2000 an intern at Google was asked by Larry and Sergey to do the Google Doodle. Dennis Hwang was the intern they asked to do the Doodles. He has been doing the Google Doodle ever since with other Googlers.
